Thread: Low carb eating doesn't suck!

  1. #71
Just catching up on this thread! So happy for all who are making healthy changes. Troy lost 40 pounds by cutting out carbs and eating more proteins. @Laurie Troy loves that Lose it app it kept him on track with his calorie count. @Nhcris so happy you are feeling the positive effects and wishing you continued success on your low carb diet.

It is definitely the easiest 'diet' I have ever tried, though I hate to use the word diet as this is more of a lifestyle change. I am trying to go full on Keto, and yes, I am tinkling on a strip every day - haha. And I haven't been disappointed yet The only time I have been hungry on this is when I skip a meal, or come in too far below my calorie count. Not being hungry helps avoid the junk binges. And the fact that Frank is doing it too means I could purged most of the things that are not Keto friendly. The local soup kitchen was happy!

The rutabagas were delicious, although I would have broiled them for a few minutes t get them crispy if I didn't have so much stuff cooking. I actually had one for breakfast this morning with sausage, egg & cheese on top sort of like a wacky eggs benedict. I liked it but Frank thought I was crazy It is fun trying new things.

Thanks Jen. Yay for Troy! I bet he is much more energetic I am also loving the Lose It app, @Laurie. Making myself log as the day goes on seems to motivate me.

@Elf70, made some brussel sprout chips for my nieces and me. Here's how dark I like them to get.

Those look delish. We roasted Brussel sprouts in a small amount of olive oil and sea salt for thanksgiving. They were really good. I’m going to roast some cauliflower next.

I swear it took me like 3 months to lose 5 pounds but only took 3 days to gain them back again. So discouraging but I'm hoping I can get back on track. Of course no point until after mom leaves and after my next casino trip lol.

I'm so glad this thread is here for everyone that is trying to do better and needs support. I did well with the 17 day diet in the past. I will likely try it again the trick is when I can start it and behave for 17 days with no distractions. Maybe I can start on Dec 4th and stick with it at least until Christmas if I can also stay away from the casino.
